My Appaloosa mare was totally confused in November, with three 90-degree days in a row and then needing her horse blanket when the thermometer plummeted into the 30s the next day.

She thinks we humans must be doing something crazy and she is probably right. She is by far the best weather person I know.

As far as the cosmic weather, December’s New Moon lights the way on the 5^th and Uranus will begin to move forward again on December 6^th, which should put a lot more electricity in the air for the holiday season and can make modes of transportation, like airlines, even more unpredictable -especially when the Uranian spirit of rebellion turns up the volume of dissent.

With the personal invasions of pat-downs and X-rays scanning every part of us – and as our civil rights erode daily – we will likely have more lefties than tea baggers in the streets demanding real CHANGE (not just thinly disguised, somewhat racist complaints, or politicians that think cow-towing to the middle of the roaders will get us anywhere).

Yup, my Uranian soul (which is always a bit ahead of trends) is feeling the surge already!

When mostly only the rich seem to make their vote connect with their own enlightened self-interest, there is much for many to rebel against for all the right reasons. We might see more sudden water problems, floods etc. and in general, expect the unexpected for the next couple of months.

If you have been feeling like you are hovering on the edge of some radical changes in your life, this might be just the time to take your leap of faith and kiss the dysfunctional past goodbye.

Good old Mercury Retrograde will be moving us backwards on December 10^th until the 30^th, which should complicate the holiday travel plans even further. The retrograde does not have to mess things up, but it sure seems to turn our attempt at order on its ear. More than ever if you travel, try more carry ons and take some good flower essences – or carry a soothing stone like lithium quartz or angelite to quiet your nerves as folks work out the shifting schedules of their flights and annoyed passengers who have been frisked within an inch of their lives seethe in their seats.

The usual suggestions like “don’t sign anything binding, make major decisions, relocate or make large purchases” is still good advice till after the 30^th.

Good things to do during this cycle are to clear clutter and finish up projects that have been awaiting your attention…and by all means indulge yourself in the gift of love from your friends and family.

And relax.

I have been trying to pick a date for my yearly Holy-Daze Open House and Stone Sale and decided to have it on the weekend of December 4^th and 5^th to get ahead of Mercury Retrograde confusion rather than wait until later in the month.

December 21st will be quite the day and night. We start off at 3:13 AM EST with a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in the last degree of Gemini, which will have some very interesting aspects to Jupiter and Uranus. This will be followed by Winter Solstice arriving at 6:39 PM EST.

As I was pondering these occurrences and waiting to be filled with inspirational words to share with you, I became filled with anxiety. I realized that very often when I write this column, I feel the aspects that are coming and have a mini experience – an actual pre-cognition of how the energies will feel when they arrive.

I have to say that this Eclipse will bring forth some very challenging and possibly disturbing feelings. Eclipses can also greatly affect the global politic with many wild cards showing up all around the world. It may boggle the mind just how many crises can pop up at one time!

Shadowy energies are likely to manifest and will show you just where your growth edge lives. Best thing is to stay calm and flexible and not get too attached to immediate outcomes. Those who are more sensitive will feel these very electric energies and the cosmic download more acutely.

The Solstice will actually be more of the calm after the storm, with the panicky vibes more in perspective… and that is the key word: perspective. That will be your saving grace while energies are more chaotic.

Find good ways to ground yourself like cooking, gardening, meditating or creating music and you will find channeling this shift much more satisfying.

As far as our love lives, I am sure we all are having a better time than we had for most of October and November when Venus was retrograde. This month it’s full speed ahead with romance, especially if you enjoy intensity and depth, with Venus in sensuous Scorpio.

Simplicity might work for some, sometimes, but this month would probably not be one of them. Try doing at least one thing by yourself or with your partner that you have never done before and see what happens. You might just decide to keep that in the act!

Some frustrating energies on December 29^th, as Mars and Saturn create a logjam that gums up the works for a little while. Don’t fight and struggle, it won’t last but a day or two so just change the channel to something that will work.

With Mercury going forward on the 30^th, we will feel more propelled into the New Year to start anew. Jupiter and Uranus will be conjoined as will the Moon and Venus in sexy Scorpio, so this should be a rather wild evening of revelry.

Taurus Horoscope (April 20-May 20) – I even like Venus in my opposite sign, Scorpio. Ya know opposites attract so I’ll take it – at least that gets things moving in the right direction…which would be the bedroom. We Taurians are not crass, anything but. However we don’t like to beat around the bush when we want what we want. I know it’s not a good idea to start a new love with Mercury Retro but now that Venus is moving forward, I want to break through too. A Taurus on the move is a force of nature; so let’s get it on before the 10th!

Gemini Horoscope (May 21-June 20) – Let’s all come to my house for the big Lunar Eclipse Full Moon in my sign. I would suggest a moving party ’cause that’s what I would like, but I have a feeling that we will be feeling more “inner” for this time. I know that I am gregarious, but even I slow down for a Lunar Eclipse. Then I can blog, Tweet, or FB all about it. Gotta’ get the word out sometime and there’s only so much navel gazing I can tolerate without a good chat. My emotions are likely to be a bit over the top so I don’t want to over-plan or overthink this event.

Cancer Horoscope (June 21-July 22) – Solstice is one of my favorite holidays of the year. There’s something so homey about this time of darkness when the sparks of light are just piercing through the night from our fires and celebrations. I can feel those beginnings of flame in my heart and know that they will warm me through this cooler season and on into the next. I know that Pluto, the ever charming, will be knocking on my door asking me just how complete my transformation has been, challenging me to go deeper still until all that needs shedding is complete.

Leo Horoscope (July 23-August 22) – Not a lot of action for Leos in the heavens but that’s OK, we make our own luck and if it ain’t happening, we usually can find a way to create something that at the very least is absorbing for the moment. I know that some of the planets are all about dissolving my ego, but generally I don’t give in to such things too easily. I suppose there is something to be said for meeting a challenge with grace but my fixedness usually makes me go kicking and screaming through my changes. I tell ya though, sometimes my stubborn pride keeps me from falling into some of the messes more fluid folks may.

Virgo Horoscope (August 23-September 22) – I don’t know who else is living inside my head but they need to start paying rent! Sometimes it’s hard to rest with such constant stimulation jarring what used to be my more peaceful, whimsical thoughts. I know something is trying to bring me to a more conscious way of being and I will go as soon as I can dump the mental clutter or at least re-route it to a more useful destination. Hard to sort the wheat from the chaff when I am in this mode…and clarity would be a relief.

Libra Horoscope (September 23-October 22) – If I hear about being in balance one more time I think I am going to scream. Of course I want that, but it’s really hard to manifest in these times of extremes. I think what I really need is a partner right about now, and that will help a lot. I do so much better as part of a team – it just kind of smoothens out my rocky places. I have been way too serious these last few months and I really want to play more. My creative juices are so ready to flow so watch me sing, dance or whatever my lighter heart wants to do; I’m on it.

Scorpio Horoscope (October 23-November 21) – Ah sweet Venus in my sign, no less as she dances forward. Let me tell you, if you wanna dance sweet and sensual, I am your girl. I have been saving it up since October and honey my juices are flowing and I don’t just mean the creative ones. And I am not afraid to say it out-loud and proud. While we are on the subject, even old secretive Scorpio says, for heaven’s sake come out of all your closets. It will do you so much good and open the way for the less brave. Just sayin’.

Sagittarius Horoscope (November 22-December 21) – Life is grand; it’s my birthday month and no one loves a party like I do – especially if the food is as exotic as the company. The wild winds have been whispering in my ear saying see the world now; don’t hesitate – make it happen. I love those talking wild winds and following them is my heart’s desire. Now if I can only follow their lead…that will be the test. This Full Moon and its Eclipse may well shake things up sufficiently to open the floodgates for my shifts and changes. I may be mutable but even I can drag my feet from time to time.

Capricorn Horoscope (December 22-January 19)  - Solstice is almost like a New Year for me and I feel so renewed with the scent of pine needles filling my nostrils and the crunch of frozen earth beneath my feet. My heart wants to be in the mountains even if my feet are in the sand; it’s the nature of us Mountain Goats I guess. However, a good week at the beach can work for the mermaid part of me. Can you tell that I am thinking vacation? I work hard and I like to play hard. OK, the play part is sadly lacking but I aspire to have that much balance in my life.

Aquarius Horoscope (January 20-February 18) – OK my Chakras are open, I am studying Natural Law, Feng shuied my house, and have visited 5 of my past lives. Doesn’t this mean that I could take a breather from my growth spurt? I love mixing it up with the latest metaphysical minds and truly if I am not on the cutting edge, I feel like I am not making muster. Gee, who slipped me a Virgo pill? I can tell that something has swapped out my old DNA and gave me some new hi-tech stuff that lights up in the dark. Now coming to you direct from the Galactic Center of the Universe…ME!

Pisces Horoscope (February 19-March 20) – Aquarius, honey, you speak my language. My psyche has been so activated from Uranus and Jupiter tap dancing all over it that it’s hard to tell what is old and what is new, but I can assure you that my daily cosmic download is quite substantial. I have a feeling that this transit has been wreaking a little havoc with my nervous system but mostly I feel quite excited and exhilarated. It’s as if all the shifting and blowing, as the seasons do their change from Summer to Fall, creates this massive electric buzz that sizzles through October leaving us feeling much more settled and grounded.

People have been asking me what the hell has been going on this October?

Be happy November friends and be grateful that your wires are now located where you want them to be instead of being frayed and sending shock waves and static every which way.

Scorpio energy is really swirling us around in her deep dark waters, which are ultra fertile and full of hidden promise. Things may rarely be what they seem to be, but if you stay in touch with your own feelings and intuition you will find the fastest current out to the clear flowing rivers and streams and will likely be clutching magical gifts and surprises in each hand!

The New Moon on November 6th offers us a great big Scorpio pile-up with Venus, the Sun, Moon and Mercury all in this fixed water sign. This may well be an emotional time but might not allow for the free flowing feelings and ease of the other water signs. We might even feel more contained. Yes it is time for something new, but maybe it will need to percolate for a while before fully manifesting.

Within hours of the new Moon, Neptune and Chiron turn directly in Aquarius which should usher in a new flood of ideas and happenings. The BP oil disaster began and ended when Chiron entered and left the water sign Pisces (which is not to say that it really ended; Goddess knows that the devastation continues due at the very least to the dispersants and oil still floating beneath the surface of the Gulf). The reason that I was able to predict the closing of the “hole” was that it coincided with that time. I figured if the opening began with Chiron in Pisces, that it might well close with that transit as well.

With the forward moving conjunction of those two luminaries in Aquarius we are apt to hear of more new scientific discoveries as well as more quantum leaping in our own consciousness. It is time to be all that you can be in expressing your higher mind and fondest ideals. This is no time for “can’t” or ” I am not good enough.”

This would be a good time to bury those limiting thoughts once and for all, as they certainly will create that reality.

If you have been feeling like your relationships or love life have been going in slow mo, spinning out of control or just not being that much fun for the last month or so, you are absolutely right. Venus will come out of its retrograde motion on November 19th and we should all feel a lot better and more fulfilled as our efforts seem to finally bear fruit.

See, I told ya November will feel so much better!

I think that what had developed during the summer of flames had to seek its balance with Saturn in Libra, which demands nothing less. Venus retro allowed us to integrate the new changes while Venus back-pedaled through most of October and some of November.

By the Full Moon in Taurus on November 21st, we are invited to see if we can use all of our empowered mental processes to manifest what we need and want in the material plane. Taurus likes stuff — good stuff, valuable stuff — so if you are needing a raise, better transportation, a vacation, etc., get out your candles, folks, and burn baby burn focusing on your highest potential and best outcomes in these areas. Sprinkle a little cinnamon for speed and some rose for love, or myrrh for prosperity, to sweeten the deal and you can start to really reap some generous benefits from Habondia or Fortuna, both Goddesses of Abundance.

I guess it was high time to share some “real old school secrets.” Scorpio loves secrets, sex and money — not necessarily in that order — during these days when so many are experiencing economic scarcity and challenges. I must admit that the ritual I do and will do for this Taurus Full Moon** (Sunday November 21st at High Noon) sincerely kicks butt for manifesting much needed resources for one and all when applied.

We haven’t heard too much from Sagittarius in awhile but by the 23rd, the Sun, Mars and Mercury are flaming through that mutable fire sign pumping plenty of well-needed energy into the mix to keep all our new projects moving and inspiring us. Word of caution, Sagies, caustic words may feel like they need to come out now as you “tell it like it is”, but really a little diplomacy will get you a better outcome!

I think that at the end of the day and month, we will be feeling more resolution and clarity as well as a sense that someone finally turned off the Cosmic Cuisinart and allowed the flavors to blend and integrate. Yes!

Gemini Horoscope (May 21-June 20) – Ugh, don’t anyone plant my feet; that sounds like torture. I gotta fly and soar and survey my domain and visit some folks while I am at it. I am feeling stirred by the new season. Unlike many of you other signs, I LOVE change, I revel in it and can get downright claustrophobic if I don’t experience a modicum of mental refreshment on a daily basis. Mars and Mercury in my opposite sign have got me feeling all kinds of passions. The big question in my mind is, which one to do first!?

Cancer Horoscope (June 21-July 22) – Did you say c-change? Gulp..Gemini you are one crazy astrological sign. The outer planets have got me so far out of my comfort zone that I don’t even know where it lives anymore! Pluto wants me to go deep and expose myself, just love that, while Saturn wants me to firm up my boundaries. Pardon my French but how the hell is all that supposed to work? My dance card is feeling very planetarily packed.

Leo Horoscope (July 23-August 22) – Being the King or Queen of this jungle has its perks! I am enjoying the current lack of pressure in my life and just letting the shifts and new currents pass through me. I must say that this is a most unique feeling for me. Letting go — what a concept. I’ve heard those words bandied around but never knew how one does such a thing. It doesn’t even feel like the same air and it allows me to get out of my own way and out of the straight jacket that binds me to my ego needs. I didn’t know that I was such a complex being!

Virgo Horoscope (August 23-September 22) – I have been wondering why I am feeling so agitated and out of control and then I see Uranus and Jupiter sitting across from me on the wheel just jangling my nerves with larger and larger incidents of unpredictability. What about my lists? I see the words go flying off the page as I chase them to make some sense of order manifest. I usually can make my thoughts conform to the job at hand, and then some, but lately its hard to remember from one day to the next just what that job is. Meditation, yes sweet relief.

Libra Horoscope (September 23-October 22) – Sweet Venus is singing gently in my ear again even if she is moving backwards. Usually I find myself pulled in two directions by her arrows of love, but lately I am feeling the urge to really commit to that one special person. It surprises the hell out of me; that I can tell you. I have always made my choice by not choosing and waiting to see where the cards fall, yet now I find myself pondering many deep philosophical and ethical questions. Thanks, Saturn.

Scorpio Horoscope (October 23-November 21) – If we could have just frozen the first week of this month, I had it made — so many planets in my sign but right after the New Moon on the 6th, all but the Sun jumped into Sagittarius, damn! Frozen water, that’s me anyway with my fixed nature. Water flows but for me; I need more definition for my destination. My intuition is most sharp at this time of the year and I am seeking physical evidence to back up my deepest hunches.

Sagittarius Horoscope (November 22-December 21) – Finally we are really cooking with gas here. I am on my horse and running with this fine unbridled new energy — felt like I was driving with the brakes on for a long time and now there are no limits. Wow I even love the way that sounds, no limits. I suppose one does need some boundaries but I’m just not feeling the need for anything like that right now. The world is my oyster; I just hope that it doesn’t come from the Gulf. A wiser person might want to take more tentative steps out on that limb but that would not be me.

Capricorn Horoscope (December 22-January 19) – I think that I am getting more comfortable with a certain amount of intensity. I am actually liking the feeling and seem to have integrated this new phase of life into my overall game plan. I am a force to be reckoned with, no doubt, and I am prepared to take on a more managerial position at work. Sometimes I can try to hide from owning some of my authoritarian leanings; Now, I embrace them.

Aquarius Horoscope (January 20-February 18) – Waves of new ideas are cascading across my mind screen, each one more magnificent than the next. I wish that I could live into and up to some of them. I can feel the pull to manifest some of my highest goals as well as the fear that they are beyond my reach. I know that I can choose which reality that I play out and I much prefer one of optimism and dare I say Faith than live the walking death of fear.

Pisces Horoscope (February 19-March 20) – I have to run as fast as I can just to keep up with myself these days. Typically, I am that mellow fish luxuriating in her placid pond, but not lately. That safe pond has lightning flashing around and through. I have never been one to resist a new sensation, yet these change just about as soon as I get used to them. I am about as creatively stimulated as I can be and I am loving that. Now I just need the time and space to take full advantage of my multitude of Muses.

Taurus Horoscope (April 20-May 20) – Now you’re talkin’ Aries. Sensuality and sexuality are so sublime and I plan on getting my share and then some this season, “Cause it’s a marvelous night for a Moondance with the Stars up above in your eyes….” Maybe I can Karaoke my way into some red satin sheets, some chocolate truffles and a honey? Gettin’ my groove back before the winter chill. Uh Huh.

Gemini Horoscope (May 21 – June 20) – Ooh, the wind in the trees is spinning my thoughts and fantasies far beyond where I have known them to be and I love it. For awhile it seemed like I could barely breathe and now I believe I could fly to Kathmandu. Well, even a quick trip to the beach would thrill me to the core. I am needing movement that matches my inner spin and shift and watching the waves roll and the seas rock while I skip through the stars could bring on the creative growth spurt that I feel inside.

Cancer Horoscope (June 21-July 22) – I think that I have become pretty accustomed to playing ball with Saturn and Pluto. They are not a whole lot of fun but I do learn a lot about myself in the process. The Lords of Karma will have their way with me and not only demand that I be my most authentic self but that I set a good example while I am doing it. Thank Goddess for sweet little Venus and Mars in Scorpio and especially Venus who will turn up the volume on love and passion as she weaves her web of intrigue.

Leo Horoscope (July 23 – August 22) – Grrrrrrrr where did the summer go? I have been basking in the hottest summer in many years and it suited me just fine. I’d rather not take some inner journey right now when my energies are sizzling like some over amped wire. The trouble is all they can do right now is sizzle and fizzle. Seems like my energies get dissipated as quickly as they present themselves going all over the planet and not exactly where I want them to be directed. Shouldn’t I have more control?

Virgo Horoscope (August 23 – September 22) – With Saturn breathing down my behind for several years, I learned about the delusion of control. Since old lead foot moved on to Libra I have felt more of an ability to control my life and the wisdom to know how to do it. Seeing one’s growth is very satisfying indeed and in learning more about self control, which I learned in spaces, I can move ahead with a deeper sense of security and *Trust*, not in some abstraction, but in myself as I more deeply align with Spirit and my Higher Self.

Libra Horoscope (September 23 – October 22) – I am definitely the Belle of the Ball this month and that is just the way that I like it. I really love it when all is peaceful and harmonious and I just wish it could stay that way. Yeah Virgo, I am glad that you got that Saturn monkey off of your back but now it’s on mine and I feel like I am carrying a ton of bricks half the time. I wish that I could turn my mind off but it keeps running and re running old scenarios of relationships past making me wonder how and what I am doing now. Venus retro has got a good grip on my heartstrings.

Scorpio Horoscope (October 23 – November 21) – Um Um, Venus and Mars rubbing up against each other so seductively in My Sign YES! It doesn’t get any better than this. I might revisit some relationship or relationship decisions that I have made in the past but how juicy. You usually feel me before you see me but I’m coming out to play so look out, Scorpio is kicking down the closet doors for a little bit and letting you see her stuff. I might even surprise myself!

Sagittarius Horoscope (November 22 – December 21) Mars will enter my sign at the very end of the month so I know I had better have plenty of projects for that action-oriented energy or I will get a little restless, OK a lot restless. My mind has been racing around for several months scheming and dreaming, mostly of how I can find a way to expand my horizons both physically and economically. Pegasus take me away from this boring material world, I am ready for something much more elevating and by the end of the month, I should be all ready to make that happen.

Capricorn Horoscope (December 22 – January 19) – Let’s face it, I had better make Pluto my friend since it will be in my sign for a long, long time. I need to get used to the fact that just following the road most traveled will simply not work anymore for me. I have tried to bargain with Pluto, c’mon just one more year and I can make this plan work but to no avail. Deep from some underground cavern in my psyche, I am finding copious reasons to transform the life that I know into something more congruent with my real self and it makes me tremble.

Aquarius Horoscope (January 20 – February 18) – Neptune and Chiron are holding hands all over my world. When I want to be logical and rational, waves of emotion can swamp my linear leanings. I AM NOT A PISCES I Tell you! I like detachment, clear thinking and a free flow of multitudes of new ideas which do come, but now I am having to deal with the feelings too. It’s a whirlpool in here I tell you and sometimes I don’t even know how to swim for shore. I do feel very inspired in a most pleasant way but let me out of the water for a minute to enjoy it.

Pisces Horoscope (February 19 – March 20) -Aquarius, I never knew you to be such a whiner! I on the other hand am very much a Pisces and what a time I am having. This is a once in a lifetime treat to have both Jupiter and Uranus kickin’ it together in *my*sign. There is so much happening that I do not know what to do first and the intensity of the energy flowing through me at any given occasion is almost enough to knock me over. My Crown Chakra feels like the light of the Universe is coursing through and I want to catch all the messages. If only they were all in English.

Congratulations all, we have made it through a very tumultuous summer!

Given that we are sitting here together and reading these words in my “monthly horoscope”, it is fair to say that we made it safely through some of the more challenging aspects that the Universe has thrown our way in some time.

I trust we are all in the midst of some phase of transformation and or integration of some major shifts in our lives.

Since Uranus and Jupiter have both slid back temporarily into watery Pisces, there is a little break now in the intensity and that is all for the good.

These are some crazy times I must tell you!

When the right wing nutters are marching in the streets, instead of the usual suspects, promoting candidates that are barely qualified to be dog catcher and promoting a sexual politic that would leave a Tibetan monk feeling a little too frisky, we are living in *Interesting Times*!

To top it all, the “free radicals” are being chased by anti oxidants while a very scary “I Have a Dream” is dreamed not by the disenfranchised but by some over-stuffed media bully.

As Whoopie would say, “WHAT THE HELL!”

These main movers and shakers in our planetary world are all retrograde. Uranus and Jupiter are conjoined and stirring up some mighty creative juices in Pisces and in the next house, we have Siamese twins, Neptune and asteroid Chiron cuddling up against the wild winds of Aquarius.

These placements can offer many energies and again, I can feel the possibilities of some serious storms with Jupiter expanding the unpredictable energies of Uranus stirring up the Piscean waters and Neptune, ruler of the water and seas in the Uranus ruled sign of Aquarius which can whip the winds to a frenzy.

As the month begins, Mercury opposes the Uranus /Jupiter aspect which could bring about some very lively conversations and some amazing inventions.

Fortunately the aforementioned aspects lend themselves nicely to both rare scientific discoveries and startling artistic expressions rather than the fierce!Arian fires of the summer.

Talk about *Fire,* Venus and Mars conjoin at 13 Scorpio on Oct. 4 which will turn up the heat in all our relationships. If you are hoping for a new love or to warm up the love you already have this is a great time and you will definitely want to make your move before Oct. 7 when Venus, the lovely Goddess of Love, turns retrograde till Nov. 19 drawing our romantic energies towards a more internal place for reflection.

Mars and Venus will still be close and steamy for a while but after a few days, the forward motion will cease and ya’ might wonder who turned out the lights. All that being said, be ready to really enjoy the heat and passion to a deeper level than ever during the first two weeks of October.

With Saturn moving towards the *New Moon in Libra on Oct 7th, we could hear a lot about treaties and laws.

Will there be Peace in the Middle East?

There is certainly the need and with these energies there is a chance as long as both sides agree to be fair.

Balance will be a key word on many levels during much of Oct. and another “Full Moon in Aries on the 22nd” will bring more attention to our relationships which can be challenged with the polarities of Mars and Venus, Aries and Libra.

How much do we do for ourselves/others, how dependent/independent/interdependent can we be?

One way or another we will find the best ways to achieve peace and harmony.

You may want to refer back to my info in September 2010 Monthly Horoscope about how to handle the Full Moon in Aries as this one occurs on the very last degree which some astrologers call a critical degree.

War and Peace can be two sides of the same coin both emanating from a need for things to be FAIR and with Saturn in Libra, there are no shortcuts and no sleight of hand. Some folks do not have a sense of humor about being lied to so hopefully, not too much saber rattling this month please.

Good news!

The Dogs of War will have a harder time making their mischief around the Full Moon because the Divine Feminine energies will be blessing us with their harmonizing vibrations as Asteroids Ceres conjoins Pluto and Vesta draws forth the most ancient wisdom of the Goddess rites when she conjoins Vesta.

This influence bodes well at a time when the world as we know it has seemed to have lost its collective minds and once again we will be reminded that Mama knows best!

October 31, Halloween, or Samhain is one of my favorite times of the year and I am glad that we are getting a nice dose of potent energy from the Ancient Mothers. Pagans celebrate this as the New Year and unlike our more secular New Year’s Eve, this is a time when the “Veil is thin”, when the Spirits of our Ancestors walk the Earth and are more available to commune and speak with us.

I am glad that Halloween falls on Sunday this year which kind of keeps the Night itself more reserved for the true celebration of this most powerful Holy Day.

With a Leo Moon till midnight, there will be plenty of energy for revelry!

It is always an important time to honor your ancestors whether you know them or not, the powerful women and men who have given their lives to make the world a better place, as well as those who have passed – we give and receive.

ARIES Horoscope (March 21 – April 19) -

TAURUS Horoscope (April 20 – May 20)- I can’t complain too much because all this crazy cardinal square crap hasn’t really rocked my world much. It’s as if everything out there is spinning wildly and I am like the rock that holds steady and continues on my daily routine without too much drama unless of course one of my sweeties has her world in an uproar in which case my solid predictable vibe can get kind of turbulent. When Venus and Mars head over to Scorpio after the 8th I just know the heat will be on and this Taurian will be rollin’ in hot chocolate.

GEMINI Horoscope (May 21 – June 20) - I can feel that Fall breeze trying to break through this record summer heat. Good old murky Mercury, my ruling planet will be moon-walking backwards in Virgo no less so I had better be more conscious about what I say to whom. last time I created a hell of a mess and I really didn’t mean to, I never do, it’s just that I am so ideaphoric. Thoughts blow in and just as quickly blow right out again it’s just that many of them blow out of my mouth before I have the time to think them through.

CANCER Horoscope (June 21 – June 22) - Change, change, change! Now I see it, now I don’t. I sure can feel the roll of that oceanic wave though and hope that it will be gentle with me. Emotions rise and fall like the tides and I can feel a sense of release as the rains come and come down all around. Nature is vibrant and not burning but these shifts have me feeling a bit off balance.. I am ready to see solid land, the oasis promised by Venus and Mars and I do believe they will heat up the waters but good when they dance around each other again but this time in Scorpio.

LEO Horoscope (July 23 – August 22) - Ah, always a tiny bit sad to leave my month in the Sun, not to worry though as I always have plenty of flame left to warm the embers as we all start to return to our routines. My job is to never let the rest of you forget that all the world is a stage and we can act out our creative fantasies whenever! I fully intend to create infinitely more art and projects to delight and amuse myself. I am going to extend this wild hot summer till the very last moment that I can scrape out of it.

VIRGO Horoscope (August 23 – September 22) - Beat it Leo, this is MY month. Finally I will be noticed for my substantial contributions and it’s about time. I know it’s the squeaky wheel that gets oiled but I hate to be a whiner. People should just see me for who I am and I am the backbone of any group that I am a part. This is also a very good time for me to pay more attention to my doings as well and set the precedent. If I respect my time and efforts more, then others will follow my example. That just makes so much sense, a light bulb moment!

LIBRA Horoscope (September 23 – October 22) - Saturn is quite the load but it has been so, so lovely to have Mars and Venus waltzing around in Libra that I almost didn’t notice. Let’s face it, I rather not look at the less comfortable stuff ever but I kind of feel like Saturn and I will be face to face in no time like it or not. I will need to face the Lord of Obstacles and find a way to move on through. I can see how I could also find the added demand for structure to offer its own benefits.

SCORPIO Horoscope (October 23 – November 21) - Ha! Haters! You are all so jealous that Venus and Mars will be all mine after the 9th! I’m not big on sharing but if you play nicely with me, there is no telling what we can manage. You are all gonna’ want you some Scorpio for a change. Out of the closets and into the sheets I say! It’s all good and finally it’s time to explore my deepest desires. Seems like they always need to be sublimated or ride in the back seat. Now, they are on the front burner and I’m gonna’ let them sizzle!

SAGITTARIUS Horoscope (November 22 – December 21) - Wow the energies are making this Sagittarius swing and sway! Plenty of air to swell my sails and keep my fire roaring and the watery side of my nature has got flow to go. So many possibilities that I find myself deluged with choices and not much of an anchor or rudder to steer me any which way. This is the Sea, the Sea of possibilities and movement feels appropriate just don’t want Mercury’s retro undertow to pull me too far off course.

CAPRICORN Horoscope (December 22 – January 19) - I find it quite pleasant to see the corporate corruption finally being exposed like just so much dirty laundry. I slave for the pittance I am afforded and keep the big wheels turning but I am rarely some Proud Mary. Still I derive a measure of hopefulness by seeing the apple-cart upset and know that I am not laying under it. If you think that I sound completely surly, remember that Pluto will be running my show for the next dozen years or so, so I will not suffer fools lightly nor will I roll over for the New World Order! Fight the Good Fight.

AQUARIUS Horoscope (January 20 – February 18)- Doing the whirlpool dance with Neptune and Chiron again. Hard to know which end is up but I can imagine that we will be rockin’ and rollin’ before too long. The Wild Winds of Change will be blowing politically, naturally, and personally and it will be best to figure out where your resistance lies and remove it before it is removed from you. I know Aquarius is a fixed sign and we do not bend easily but this would be one of those good times to acquire some flexibility.

PISCES Horoscope (February 19 – March 20) - Oh boy, Uranus and Jupiter are in my sign again. I wonder what magical mystery tour I will find myself on this time. That Uranian energy sure cranks up the iconoclast in me and everything is so much more electric including me. So many weird body sensations that I can’t even describe, no doubt ye old rewiring of the DNA again. We Pisces have a wide spectrum of beliefs and will explore many versions of reality without denying or bonding to either. I will surely expose myself to a myriad of cultures.

So many of us live inside that rat race chasing our tails trying to keep up with a world wildly careening pell mell towards some hope of retirement, to one day taking that time to smell the flowers when the bills are finally paid, when the kids are finally in college, when you finally get your divorce from the one who doesn’t understand you and could care less! The Cardinal Square energy that I have been referring to these last few months asks us to each step out of our cages, self imposed or otherwise.

With several planets in Virgo,This month and time is for sorting out, and Mercury in Virgo is such a good sorter. Time to really re order your priorities so that your focus is truly on what has meaning for you rather than what you are just doing.

You have no doubt heard the typical mercury retrograde warnings. Don’t sign anything, buy anything, commit to anything permanent, refrain from

large purchase especially electrical and mechanical things. Don’t have sex for the first time in your new relationship when mercury goes retro (fine chance of that happening). Double and triple check meetings and messages and be sure to give the benefit of the doubt in controversy as nobody will really know the whole story!

OK, those are some of the DON’TS, NOW HOW ABOUT THE DO’S!! Do take the time to De clutter your house, mind, closets, garden, and social calendar so that you can make room for the new energy coming in when Mercury goes direct which will occur this time on *Sept 12.* Take all those half done projects and bring them to completion so that when Mercury goes direct, you will be ready to roll.

Since we do not live in a culture that includes and honors down time, we need to try to integrate that into our lives much more till the12th. Some of the challenges we face in trying to live lives more connected to natural and astrological cycles is that Patriarchal Gregorian calendars simply have no such orientation. When we want to observe these more inner times and keep up our work schedules, it can be a challenge.

Its not that you *can’t* forge ahead during the retrograde but it simply is not energy efficient. *Why swim upstream when you can go with the flow?*

I am taking the time to explain a bit more about the retrograde energy because there are 7, count them, 7 planets including asteroid Chiron moving backwards at this time so it’s not just Mercury creating this need for a pause. The New Moon in Virgo on the 8th will also underscore a culling and prioritizing so that our goals and path are more streamlined when both Mercury and Pluto go direct on the 12th and 13th respectively. Then, we can fly forward with conviction.

With Uranus backtracking into Pisces, we are being given a little respite from the planetary firestorm of the summer and it is now time to integrate all the major shifts and dynamic changes we have set in motion. The Grand Cross energy is still in play but as the month rolls on the intensity will weaken a bit till the Full Moon in Aries. If you have been dragging your feet, you will find you may feel a little more tossed in the swirling Piscean waters. The message is still, *Find the New You Being Reborn as we approach the true Dawning of the Aquarian Age!*.

With several planets in Libra , we may also be prone to do some fence sitting but it may also be a time to let romance sizzle a bit as we learn to merge in a more balanced way. Saturn won’t have it any other way whether the relationships are between lovers or countries.

On Sept.23, we will have a most potent Full Moon in Aries. I learned much about this particular Full Moon from the newly departed, wise and witty witch, Marion Weinstein who referred to the Aries Full Moon as the Blood Moon because in ancient it was a time of animal sacrifices. She also suggested that this was such a dangerous time because we are in the death throes of the Patriarchy. She suggested, and I heartily agree that it is best to not to go to places where one is likely to encounter a dangerous element on this night.

The good news for this time is that Saturn is moving further from the square to Pluto and the whole Cardinal Square thing. The bad news is I can see the possibility of a really bad storm on this day with the Full Moon conjoining both Jupiter and Uranus making the tides run exceptionally high and with Neptune and Chiron back being Siamese twins again, we could have both wild winds and water. I hope that I am totally wrong too. So do be prepared. Either way, this moon could bring some most intense global events with it.
