We had a really good group representing many different aspects of feminism, experiences and knowledge of feminist issues. I really enjoyed the discussions from students who are currently attending Women's studies classes at UF. I liked the correlations they were able to make to bell hooks other writings, her appearances and other authors. I also enjoyed the different perspectives provided by women who have been active in the feminist movement for many years. It is really great to see the vibrant discussion of feminist issues returning to Wild Iris! I had a wonderful time at the first meeting of the feminist book club.
