Wild Iris Books Gainesville Florida Marshall Rosenberg Non Violent CommunicationBelow are three video’s from Marshall Rosenberg on non-violent communication.  I think we could create an absolutely incredible society if we can all learn to at least try to follow these guidelines for communications.

Basically…

Differentiating observation from evaluation.  Learning to observe what is happening without assigning judgment or evaluation.

Differentiating feeling from thinking.  Again, learning to identify our own feelings and stating those feelings in a way that does not imply criticism, judgment or evaluation.

Connecting with our own needs and understanding when they are being met or not being met.

Requesting what we want in a way that is clear and concise and in a way that is truly a request and not a demand.
