HaldeCraft at Wild Iris Books

Remember when I first mentioned this was going to happen? It’s real now! It’s really real!

Haldecraft at Wild Iris Books in Gainesville Florida

Today a couple of my kick-ass friends (Meg, Alexis, Laura, and Gerry) met Tim and I at Wild Iris Books and my display was set up in no time flat.

I was so nervous yesterday (my propensity for over-worry will surprise NO ONE), but when I woke up this morning I was just excited and ready to go. Was it 12:30 yet? Now? How ’bout now? NAO? I had no idea how long it was going to take (not long at all, because my Team of Five was flipping amazing) and what might go wrong (nothing). We got there just a shade before 1, Tim had no problems taking the shelf apart and assembling his display units (he didn’t even have to break out a single tool, for which he may have been disappointed, heh). I set him on pricing soaps. Meg and Alexis showed up just a few minutes later, and I swear the three of them had two bowls and five boxes of soap priced before I had unpacked one box of ceramics. Laura and Gerry stepped up to get all the soap displayed, and Voilà! We were done!

I encourage anyone in Gainesville and surrounding towns who are curious about my products to check them out. As far as ceramics go, I sent over a selection of things I can do at a variety of price levels, and if there’s anything you don’t see but want (or see but want in a different color) I’m happy to take custom orders through them. And for soaps, they have a huge variety from which you can choose. This is an excellent way to go sniff some of my soaps that you may have been curious about. They have old standards like Patchouli and Nag Champa and some things like everybody’s new favorite, Rosemary Mint, and the cool and fresh Cucumber Melon.

Wild Iris Books is located at 802 W. University Avenue (old, OLD friends will recognize that as being one door next  to the old Novel Ideas, and if that’s not a time trip I can’t tell you what is!), and their hours are Tuesday- Thursday, 1:00pm – 9:00pm; Friday & Saturday 1:00pm – 5:00pm; closed on Sunday and Monday.

I can’t tell you how lucky I feel to be featured there, and how grateful I am to both the friends who physically helped me today and have emotionally helped me through this wild and crazy ride of the last … whoa, almost ten months. That’s crazy, y’all! It feels like just yesterday that I put my feet on this path.

Thanks, y’all!
